Swedish
The goals of Swedish Massage are to reduce muscle tension, break up adhesions, improve nutrient and waste exchange within tissue and increase the blood/lymph flow to your heart. This system of massage therapy is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle soreness, stress, anxiety, and improves flexibility in the body.
Deep Tissue
Deep tissue therapeutic massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. The goal is to restore muscular balance from chronically shortened muscles. This massage therapy system is beneficial for any individual living an active or sedentary lifestyle where muscles are positioned in a continuously shortened state.
Myofascial Therapy
Myofascial Release techniques promote structural balance and unrestricted movement by reducing superficial and deep fascial adhesions, stimulate extracellular ground substance into a sol state to enhance nutrient exchange between cells, and improve soft tissue health.
Neuromuscular Therapy
NMT is a style of massage therapy that focuses on locating, managing, and preventing chronic pain associated with myofascial trigger points. A trigger point is defined as a hyperirritable spot in skeletal muscle that is associated with a hypersensitive palpable nodule in a taut band.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping Therapy involves generating a suction or negative pressure with cups applied to the skin resulting in decreased perception of pain and increased restricted range of motion. Cupping can cause visible markings on the skin as the application of the therapy causing an increase in blood volume underneath the cupped tissues leading to rupture of small capillary beds. It is contraindicated for individuals with bleeding disorders, cancer, bruise easily, history of deep vein thrombosis, or taking certain medications.
